everybody seems to want "bombproof"?

selling a single (or multiple) horses?
- What constitutes "Customer Service" when
selling a horse?
- What kinds of scams are going on, and how do I

Patricia Bores of HorsesMidwest.com
Drew Fitzpatrick of Minnesota
Hooved Animal Rescue
Glen Benson of County
Line Farm
and Jean Listman of Reflection
Farm bring you the answers to these and other questions in this exclusive,
first-ever teleseminar with EquineTeleseminar.net.
This was an extremely well-received call.
People were raving about it in many of the discussion lists and
forums for a very long time, and copies of the files sold like
hotcakes. We had a LOT of fabulous questions, a few strange
ones, as well as a couple of very interesting rhetorical ones that
participants submitted and the panel discussed.
What People Are
Saying About This Call:
|
Jeanne Fox said: "This is
the first time I've participated in a horse related conference call.
It was great! I was impressed with the panelists that shared their
expertise and ideas with the listeners!" |
| Jane Eickhoff said: "I
enjoyed listening to the clinicians interacting with each other.
Much better than "planned" answers! Very informative!
Thank you!" |
We had an interesting cross-section of panelists:
Patricia Bores runs an internet sale site; Drew Fitzpatrick runs a
horse rescue, and Glen Benson and Jean Listman are breeders with very
different target markets.
We talked about
- how to find a good, safe home for
your horse
- how to ensure that it would be taken care of and not
neglected, abused, or sent to slaughter. I'd imagined that my
rescue person, Drew Fitzpatrick, would know the most about this, but
everybody had valid insights and experiences to add.
We discussed
- advertising and marketing
- about how to
write the actual advertisement
- adding pictures
- changing the price if
the horse doesn't sell (and it's not necessarily in the direction that
you might think!)
- other things to do to help sell your horse,
such as taking it to events, and local, offline things to do.
- how to handle customers, clients, and
tire-kickers, as well as what to do with people who are obviously
unskilled or otherwise unqualified to buy your horse.
Everybody who participated in the call in any
capacity learned something about buying and selling horses, about the
industry as a whole, and was a little better equipped to handle this
all-important horseman's duty. When you listen to the call, you
will be better equipped as well.
